Frankly Said
Lago Lácar
Lago Lácar
Lago Lácar, San Martín de los Andes.
In October, it’s an in-between time of year here, quiet. Locals sit on the edge of the lake and look outwards. Drinking mate, and almost always with their dogs, who seem to be companions of choice to the people who live in this village. The dogs wander around with collars on, at their own free will, joining you on your run or your walk to the local grocery store. They belong to someone, but the village is their backyard, and at the end of the day, you see them trot off home like neighborhood kids, to be fed and tucked in for the night. And so the routine continues the next day, and the next. The lake seems a together place.
Places we go to be alone but not lonely.
